Description

GOLD AND ENAMEL MUSICAL SEAL GOLD
Geneva. Made circa 1815.
Fine, 18K gold and champlevé enamel keyless musical seal.
Oval, made up of a gold ring engraved decorated with polychrome
champlevé enamel flowers, swivel suspension pendant functioning as the
winding key, spherical "cage" in the center, reeded band, the bottom set with
a polished carnelian matrix, activating bolt on the band.
Oval, 27 x 2 mm. brass with pinned barrel and 8 stacked tuned vibrating
blades, pinion governor in adjustable bushing for tempo adjustment.
