Description

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 1002 from 1974 in good vintage condition. The Oyster case of this Rolex measures 34 mm and only shows minor signs of wear. The case is fitted with scratch-free Plexiglas. The bezel is a smooth, domed bezel, which gives this Rolex a very beautiful, balanced appearance. The case is equipped with the original Rolex hatched crown, which screws down nice and tight. The watch comes on an original Rolex folded Oyster strap with all links and with a lug of 19 mm, and is set with a folding clasp. The strap has little stretch, but shows some signs of wear here and there. This Rolex has a Sigma dial, which means that precious metal has been used for the dial, white gold in this case. The tritium on the hands and the dial has beautifully discoloured. The dial has two small scratches, which are clearly visible on the magnified photos but which are not noticeable with the naked eye. This rare grey Sigma dial with white text is rarely seen and hence very collectible. The same goes for the reference number, 1002.
This Rolex works on the Rolex 1560 movement, which runs well and on time, and which has the following specifications:
• automatic
• sweep second
• 25 jewels
• f = 18,000 A/h
• power reserve 44h

The lid is signed on the inside with the appropriate brand marks and the reference number. The serial number between the lugs indicates the year 1974.
