COURVOISIER QUARTER REPEATER GOLD
Courvoisier, No. 96757. Made circa 1800.
Fine, quarter-repeating, 18K gold pocket watch.
Three-body, "Empire", polished bezels, reeded band,
engine-turned back, slide on the band at 11 for locking the
repeating. Gilt metal cuvette hinged to the movement ring.
White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions,
winding aperture at 2. Blued steel Breguet hands.
41 mm., matte gilt full plate, verge escapement, threearm
brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and chased
continental cock with polished steel endplate, silvered
regulation dial, repeating on gongs activated by depressing
the pendant.
