Patek Philippe, movement No. 3048, case No. 220454. Made for
Tiffany & Co., New York. Made circa 1915.
Very fine and rare, 14K pink gold, keyless, split-seconds chronograph
pocket watch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
Three-body, "bassine," polished, engine-turned back with central
medallion engraved with a monogram, the interior of the back
cover with engraved dedication, co-axial button in the crown for
start/stop and return-to-zero of the chronograph hand, button at
11 o`clock for the split-seconds and re-join.
White enamel with radial fancy Arabic numerals, outer 1/5th
seconds track with 5-second red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary
seconds dial with red numerals. Blued steel spade hands.
Cal. 19''', nickel, 17 jewels, straight-line calibrated lever escapement,
cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance
spring, Wilmot's patent micrometer regulator, visible chronograph
work.
