KARL GRIESBAUM DOUBLE SINGING BIRD BOX SILVER
Karl Griesbaum, German. Made circa 1960.
Fine, silver, double singing bird box. Accompanied by a winding key.
Two-body, rectangular, engraved with floral and musical motif, double
oval bird cover engraved with musical instruments, stylized feet representing
a leaf.
The singing birds: rectangular brass, going barrel and rectangular bellow,
the revolving birds with moving wings, beak and tail, controlled by two cams
mounted beneath the barrel wheel.
