Description
Omega - Museum Collection 1938 Aviator Reedition - 5700.50.07
In 1938, Omega produced a steel pilot's watch fitted with a rotating bezel and a scale allowing flight times to be calculated. This watch was designed to be worn either on the wrist or, with the aid of a special strap, on the thigh so that the time could be read more easily by the pilot. The item in the accompanying photos which we have for sale is a limited-edition reincarnation of that earlier model brought up to date with some improvements. Specifically, it is a 40mm Omega "PILOT'S WATCH 1938", part of Omega's Museum Collection (Collector's Series Number One), with model reference number 5700.50.07.
