C. H. MEYLAN MINUTE-REPEATING SPLIT-SECONDS CHRONOGRAPH YELLOW GOLD H. Meylan, Brassus, Swiss, No. 2874. Made in 1898. Very fine and rare, keyless, 18K yellow gold minute- repeating pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph. Four-body, bassine et filets, solid, polished, hinged gold cuvette engraved: A.H. Bourne from his Father Oct. 7th, 98, the case back engraved inside: Stephen H. Bourne from his Father Aug. 26th, 1954. White enamel with printed Breguet numerals, outer 1/5th seconds track with 5-minute red Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial and 60-minute register. Blued steel spade hands. 39 mm. fausses cotes decoration, 26 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
