Jules Jürgensen, Copenhagen, Swiss, No. 14543. Made circa 1880.
Very fine, large, 18K pink gold, keyless pocket watch with
Jürgensen's patent bow hand setting, patented in 1867.
Four-body, massive, "bassine et filets", polished, the interior of
the back with engraved dedication, Jürgensen's patented bow hand
setting. Hinged gold-rimmed glazed cuvette.
White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track,
subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands.
20''', rhodium plated, 17 jewels, the visible jewels in screwed
gold chatons, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement with
elongated fork, large diameter cut bimetallic compensation balance,
blued steel Breguet balance spring with terminal curve, large
index regulator with engraved scale on the center bridge.
