J.L. Reutter Patent Atmos - Blue Mirror Atmos, Pendule
Perpetuelle, J. L. Reutter patent, No. 6241, Swiss. Made circa 1935.
Very fine and very rare, early, Art Deco, mirror and chrome,
"perpetual" clock wound by changes in barometric pressure
with early mercury in glass expansion device.
Rectangular, blue-mirrored body, chromed inclined base,
aperture to view the pendulum, chromed bezel.
Matte silver with applied blued brass baton indexes and
Art Deco Arabic quarter-hour numerals. Blued steel sword
hands.
Chrome, vacuum chamber with rotating drum driven
by a mercury in glass expansion device winding the going
barrel by a blued steel spring and ratchet, lever escapement
driven by annular torsion pendulum, locking lever in the
base below the pendulum.
Applied plaque on the case back inscribed "Brevets J.L.
Reutter S.G.D.G".
