The IWC Pilot's Watch Mark XII was introduced in 1994 as such it marked the return of IWC's classic pilot's watch. The case measured 36mm across at a height of 10.4mm, housing a self-winding movement by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Reference IW3242-02 is a special edition created with Giorgio Latuada, whose initials can be found on the dial. It is powered by the ETA-based caliber 37522 rather than the JLC movement found in other Mark XII watches.
