Description

GOLD HUNTER-CASE WATCH WITH QUARTER REPEATER, CIRCA 1880 Four body fillet 18K gold case, n. 10478, engine turned cover and back, richly engraved floral monogram, engine turned dome signed "Ch. Suchy & fils”. Circular pendant and bow decorated with rings.
White enamel dial, Roman hour numerals, minute track with 5-min Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Gilt pear hands. 
Unsigned key-less beveled bridge and nichel-plated movement, jewels set with chaton, woolf-thoot winding, counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with screws, blued Breguet hairspring. Quarter repeater activated by a slide, anchor governor, chime with two hammerS on two gongs.
