Description

A unique first-hand collector’s item. The sporty and much sought-after Heuer Autavia Chronograph Autavia Mario Andretti with manual winding movement is from 1968. With a black dial, two white registers and a white central second hand, as well as minute bezel (M). The watch is worn but in good condition. Dial discoloration due to strong UV radiation. The watch was used in the cockpit of the first mass-produced civil aircraft with jet propulsion in Germany. The Valjoux 92 manual winding movement is in technically perfect condition. The watch with the reference 3646M is unpolished and in its original condition. Tritium dial with original tritium on hands and indexes. This model was frequently worn by racing driver Mario Andretti in the 1960s.
