This Lord Elgin, known as the 50 Millionth Anniversary watch, is truly a rare example. The model was release in 1951 to celebrate Elgin's 50th anniversary and to mark the 50th million watch production. It was a limited release, only 1000 watches were made. The case is crafted out of 18 karat yellow gold with hinged oversize hooded lugs. Powered by Elgin's caliber 670 a 21 jewel mechanical movement with 7 adjustments. Elgin was the first manufacturer to produce 50 million watches. The actual 50th million watch known as the "red feather" resides at Elgin History Museum.
