& QUARTER REPEATING "PENDULETTE DE VOYAGE" ORIGINAL BOX
Cartier, No. 3804. Made circa 1910.
Extremely fine and very rare, two-train, Petite Sonnerie striking and quarter-repeating, silver, enamel,
agate and rose-cut diamond-set 8-day going desk clock. Accompanied by the original Cartier gold-tooled
red morocco fitted box.
Rectangular silver entirely decorated with translucent purple guilloche enamel with white champlevé
enamel borders, bezel decorated with white enamel "pearls", the sides centered with an applied rose-cut
diamond-set rosette, the top with a pierced rose-cut diamond-set monogram "DR" in a circle, the back
with shuttered winding holes for winding and hand-setting and aperture for regulation, moonstone-set
repeat button, carved and polished agate base.
Circular convex white enamel with dauphine numerals, outer painted gold minute track with Arabic
fifteen-minute numerals. Rose-cut diamond-set arrow hands.
No. 17791, rectangular brass plates, four pillars, going barrels for both trains, lateral lever escapement
on a matte gilt platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring,
index regulator, striking and repeating on two gongs with two hammers.
