The serpentine handle over a moulded cornice and base, the side glasses curved and with bevelled edges, the cornice applied with six multi coloured butterflies, the base with four pairs of pierced and multi-coloured mounts, the rectangular white enamel Roman dial set over an Arabic alarm setting dial, the movement with lever platform escapement and bimetallic balance striking the hours and half hours on a bell mounted on the backplate along with the strike work, the alarm sounding on a bell mounted horizontally under the base 19cms (7.5ins) high.
