What a sight! When did you last see a 1983 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country Convertible? This top quality example has also only cocked up 30,094 miles. The car comes with its complete service and maintenance history, confirming the very good care the previous owners in the States afforded the car. A LeBaron convertible was a rare sight, it was an acquired taste to say the least. Only 1,105 Town and Country models were sold, making it quite rightly a very rare sight these days.

Whilst not everyone admired the looks of the Town and Country, all do agree that it is quite a special car. In our case this special car is not only completely original but also in great shape. The bodywork has clearly never suffered any damage and the shut lines are true. The brown paintwork matches the wooden side panels and is also in good condition. The looks are quintessentially ‘80’s and are old enough to earn the title of being cool again. The hood is easy to use and provides a good seal when up.

On inspection it is noticeable this Chrysler has always had an easy life. Inside looks good and is fully original. All the gauges and controls function correctly and the upholstery is in a good state.

In contrast to many other American cars form that time you wont find a big fat V8 under the bonnet, you will only find half the amount of cylinders. The LeBaron has a 2.7 straight 4-cylinder engine supplied by Mitsubishi. Did you know this made it one of the largest 4-cylinder engines in the world at the time? The engine propelled a 3-speed automatic. Both engine and transmission

have been maintained in exemplary fashion as a multitude of invoices bear out. The moment you take off in this car you are reassured you are mechanically in safe hands.

The car comes with a number of maintenance invoices, the original 1983 bill of sales, the owners manual and some other documentation. In short this is a very rare 1983 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible which would be nice to keep as leisure time car but could also fall into the Young-timer’s category which again is attracts favourable tax relief in the Netherlands for the self employed.
