Description

A rare 'Ouragan' (Gorgon Medusa) mascot by George Poitvin for Hermes of Paris, 1920s, signed 'G.Poitvin' and with 'Syndicate des Fabricators de Bronzes' foundry mark and stamped numbers to rear of base, believed silver-plated bronze mascot depicting the mythical figure with flowing drapery, 11cm high, mounted on a black marble display base.
