Description

"Introduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six cylinder model since production of the DBS had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two door coupé body and robust six cylinder engine. Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve, inline six cylinder engine which produced 335bhp at 5750rpm. Regarded by many as the purist modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road. This outstanding Aston Martin was originally supplied by Stratstone of Mayfair and registered on 1st August 1997. This is a rare ‘Series Two’ airbag model with a five speed manual gearbox. The colour of Malvern Silver was originally a launch colour for the DB7 however the original purchaser of this example liked the colour so much, he special ordered the car in it with full Warm Charcoal hide, black carpets, smoke grey alcantara headlining and burr walnut veneers. The specification of this Aston Martin is significant, it is fitted with an Aston Martin works service engine power upgrade, tubular exhaust manifold with a special sports extractor exhaust system, lightened flywheel and clutch; all this gives an extra 50bhp increase over the standard car. It is also fitted with driving dynamics, upgraded front and rear brakes which includes larger ventilated discs and four-pot aluminium calipers. It sits on a set of recently refurbished, split-rim alloy wheels and new Bridgestone tyres all round. Rear park distance control, special exhaust tail pipes, heated front windscreen and a bright finish stainless steel mesh front grille complete the impressive specification. With 24 stamps in the service book, the last major service being carried out at 104,817 miles, it is clear this has been a very well maintained example. Supplied with the original service books and previous MoT test certificates dating back to June 2000, a comprehensive history folder, V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 1st October 2019. The condition and history of this Aston Martin defies the mileage and should be a serious contender for any potential purchaser."
