Built by Czech vehicle manufacturer Tatra the second oldest auto maker.
The 57 is a two-door compact car built from 1932 and was popularly known by the nickname Hadimrška
Fitted with a unique air-cooled 1,155 cc overhead valve flat-four engine that produces 18 hp.
Available as a four-seat saloon, four-seat convertible and two-seat convertible with the addition of a commercial van in 1935.
Offered here is the rare 2 seat convertible the most desirable body shape.
This example is superb, the car has clearly had a fortune spent on making it better than the day it was built.
Painted in bright red and deep black the body is arrow straight. Fitted with correct red painted steal wheels with new tyres finishes off the exterior.
The interiors trimmed with black vinyl and is in perfect condition along with the timber 4 spoke steering wheel.
The folding roof and cover are also excellent.
The compact front engine air cooled engine is factory correct and showcase the unique and simplistic design of this vehicle.
This Tatra 57 is a rare opportunity to acquire a very rare car world wide and never seen in Australia. Something very different one for the serious collector.
