ROSS TRAVEL COMPENDIUM WITH THERMOMETER
Ross, London, Patent No. 33236. Made circa 1910.
Very fine and rare, gilt brass and leather travel compendium
with 8-day clock, thermometer and barometer. Accompanied
by the original travel case with stand.
Two-body, leather with folding cover and foldable stand,
two gilt revolving cases for the clock and barometer, winding
crown to wind the pocket watch, for the thermometer
for revolving inner bezel, the thermometer between on a
white plate with black painted scale.
Silver with Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Luminous
blued steel spade hands. Barometer: Cream painted
with black barometric scale. Blued steel arrow pointer.
Gilt, 17 jewels, straightline lever escapement, monometallic
balance, flat balance spring, index regulator.
