● Popular Styling Theme
● High Quality, Authentic Restoration
● Well Appointed with Desired Options

The Model: For many years, pioneer collectors of the Early V8 Fords overlooked the beauty and styling of the 1937 Ford. It was rakish and streamlined, right in line with the Art Deco movement that was sweeping the country when this car was new. Styling reflected that of the new Lincoln Zephyr, another of Gregorie’s winning designs, featuring headlights molded right into the fenders and for the first time on a Ford, an “alligator” style hood hinged at the rear and attached to the sides of the cowls. Both side panels protecting the engine compartment could be removed for easy access to engine for servicing. Deluxe models features a bit more trim and simulated burled walnut finish on the dashboard and garnish moldings. As America came out of the grips of the depression, Ford was growing in popularity thanks to V8 power and beautiful styling.

The Car: This example is pure stock and appears to have been treated to a fairly extensive cosmetic restoration some time back as number of years. The quality of the workmanship has held up and today this Cabriolet is ready for to ride highways and byway. It has acquired a number of factory options beside the rumble-seat in back. These include an original “banjo” steering wheel plus a factory AM radio with its stylish “V8” frequency pointer, and a timely piece, the 8-day wind-up clock mounted in the glovebox door. It is fitted with dual taillights, a rear mounted spare tire and both front and rear chrome bumper tips. While this handsome Cabriolet might not be in front row show car it remains to be quite presentable and would be a welcomed addition to any Early V8 Ford fanatics collection, showing dash, style and the ability to keep up with modern traffic.
