Description

GLARDON FINE ENAMEL PLAQUE
Attributed to Charles Louis François Glardon-Leubel (Swiss,
1825-1887)
Extremely fine and rare, rectangular painted on enamel plaque,
mounted in a gilt-brass surround and giltwood frame by J. Casetti,
Genève. Made circa 1860.
Rectangular, polychrome enamel on copper, depicting a boy and
girl with a goat sitting by a stream in an alpine forest, the goat
nibbling the flowers in the girl's hair.
