Nicholas Mee Racing Scoops GT4 Title – Again

“I’m absolutely delighted with our win here – and with clinching the Challenge,” said a beaming Karsten Le Blanc, after winning the ninth and final round of the 2011 AM GT4 Challenge at Dijon in the Nicholas Mee Racing Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4.

Although this was his first race at the undulating Dijon circuit, Le Blanc survived a late downpour while on slick tyres to take the chequered flag more than a lap ahead of series rival Vantage Racing. Le Blanc’s win, as the car’s sole driver in the 80-minute race at the Dijon-Prenois circuit on 11 September, meant the NMR team also took the 2011 Challenge title, two years after its victory in the inaugural series.

“We were determined to take the title this year in memory of our dear friend and former Team Manager Craig Dawson, who passed away late last year,” said the victorious driver after the race.

Nicholas Mee Racing is now preparing for its final race of 2011 – the Britcar 24hr at Silverstone on 1-2 October, where Karsten Le Blanc will be partnered by regular team-mates Christiaen van Lanschot and Dan de Zille, along with newcomer Robert Nimkoff from the USA.
