The New Bentley Continental GT Breaks Cover

In advance of its Paris Show debut, Bentley has released the very shortest of online ‘teaser’ films. If you are very, very quick, you can just make out that the new car looks very much like...

... the outgoing model. Which is no bad thing, as one of the sales successes of the 21st Century needs little modification from its current, stunningly effective guise.

It’s apparent that the ‘jewel’ headlamps of the flagship Mulsanne have found their way onto the smaller car, and that the centre console has been uprated with new touch-screen features.

The 340km/h speedo is reassuringly calibrated, so Dr Ulrich Eichhorn and the rest of the Engineering team are clearly keeping to the original car’s brief of colossal performance from an exceptionally appointed, 4wd four-seater with market-leading standards of ride and handling.

For those without a [email protected] email address, here are some screen-grabs from the trailer. You can, of course, try this yourself by visiting www.NewBentleyGT.com.

The car will have its international launch live online for one week, from 15:00 British Summer Time (BST) on Tuesday 7 September 2010. It will also be at this year’s Paris Motor Show, which runs from 2–17 October at the Porte de Versailles, Paris.
