Im Jahr 2015 legt Porsche mit der Black Edition eine  Sonderserie des 911 Carrera und Boxster auf. Der Porsche 991 in der Black Edition ist aufgrund seiner sehr umfangreichen Serienausstattung und seiner Limitierung auf 1911 Exemplare zum Ende der Saugmotor Ära bei Porsche von Beginn an ein Sammlerstück gewesen, aber eines, an dem man sich täglich erfreuen kann.

Die Kombination von schwarzer Lackierung und schwarzem Teilleder-Interieur betont die zeitlose und rassige Eleganz der Sportwagen.
