Description

This is not a Riva, of course, but a much rarer Molinari racer modello "Carezza". It was built in 1966 by the "Cantieri Nautici Eugenio Molinari" with one goal only: beating speed records ! The Molinari chassis nr is 40. Beautifully crafted in mahogany the lightweight hull with the unique rear cockpit was purpose built to reach breathtaking speeds on flat Italian lakes. Its powerful BPM Ionic engine gave it the power to perform. Extremely rare and in perfectly restored condition, this historic mahogany racer is the ideal tool for high speed thrills. And it comes with a brand new trailer !

Description:
Extremely rare and in perfectly restored condition,
The "CANTIERI NAUTICI EUGENIO MOLINARI", Lazzeno on the Lago di Como has built this rare and unique 1966
'Scarfo Molinari mono-hull racer ' , exactly following the classical construction methods that were used over decades for mahogany lake boats (like e.g. RIVA).
This one-off race boat was specially built for 'Conte Petrobelli', a very well known racer in his time.
According the known history this very Molinari monohull raced 'in period' in the famous "CENTO-MIGLIA'.
These very fast racers apparently reached speeds of over 56 knts (100 km/h) during races on the Italian lakes.
Today, in 'down-tuned' trim 65 km/h and more should still be possible... in the right hands that is !
