Description
A stylish Art Deco stylized bronze figure of a skier, a dynamic downhill racer in patinated bronze, mounted on a glacial white marble base, set on a tall black veined plinth and base, with a plaque to the front which reads SINDACATO GIORNALISTI DELLE VENEZIE, 1964, indicating its later use as a presentation trophy. Austrian, 1920. Size: 14 x 8 x 5 in. (36 x 20 x 13 cm).
Also, a French silvered-bronze car mascot in the form of a female skier, on one leg and a single ski pole. The figure is mounted on a turned hardwood base. French, 1920. Height: 7.5 in. (19 cm).
