A wonderful interpretation of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing, of 1:8 scale in a hand-finished dark patinated cire perdue (lost wax) bronze and mounted on a grey marble plinth. Signed by the artist and dated 2019, the bronze is numbered 1 in an edition of 8. The bronze is complete with a bespoke wooden travelling crate.

Romain Schroeder (b. 1965) attended the École des Beaux Arts, and a background in mechanical engineering influenced his approach to his sculptural works. "I try to respect the basic dimensional design and body shape and adapt it to create a sculptural harmony and a perfect fluidity of the lines."
