This car was sold new in Milan Italy and in 1971 it was imported to the USA and the car repainted Ivory. After being purchased by H. Hamilton of Calgary, Canada in 2003 it was put in storage inside a house until purchased by Smiekel in 2022.
The 330 has received a full service, the A/C blows cold, new tires and is now running great on the back roads around Santa Barbara.
If you are looking for a car to trailer to a show to win a trophy, this is not the Ferrari you want. However, if you want to use the car and show it at your local events, this very original, numbers matching, well maintained Ferrari is a joy to drive. Reading the Massini report you'll find it is described as fully restored with 60,000 miles in the '80s but in reality it only had a professional color change from the original dark green(Verde Scuro, 20449) to light ivory in the seventies. Massini gets his information from ads by Ferrari brokers, not by inspecting the car in person. The various brokers mistakenly described the GTC as being fully restored when in fact it just had been painted. In the last year the car has been inspected by experts and other than the paint, the car is all original and complete with books and tools. A recent compression test showed readings from 160 to 170 on all cylinders. The transmission is smooth and quiet in all gears and shifts properly. The glass, chrome, rubber, engine compartment, interior are all in very good condition. The paint is showing it's age but very presentable free of any dents, scratches, or any signs of rust. The entire car is rust free and has had no rust or damage repair.
Over the past 43 years I have owned and driven a number of front-engine, 12 cylinder Ferraris and this is the best running solid car of the bunch.
