Trade-in car. Driving or restoring, that choice was rarely as difficult as with this beautiful Mustang 428 Cobra-Jet. Ford presented the Mach 1 in 1968, the holy grail of the Mustang at the time. Supplied with various engines, the 428 ci Cobra Jet was the strongest power source. 7 liters in size, 340 hp strong. A true icon and a source of inspiration for many owners.

This Mustang starts life as a Mustang Sportsroof painted in Silver Jade. In the front a powerful 390 '4 barrel' 6.4 liter V8. This 'Sportsroof', which is the new name for the Fastback known until then, is also equipped with a manual 'close ratio' four-speed gearbox.
In the past, the car has already been tackled and equipped with a 7.0 liter engine, with 340 hp, the beloved 428 Cobra Jet. The black painted car looks neat, but time has left some traces. The paint has some wear here and there. There will be plenty of enthusiasts who would drive the car like this, but a restoration is of course also possible.
The interior is remarkably neat, with some extra gauges added and a non-original sports steering wheel installed. The Hurst gear lever is a welcome option.
Under the hood is the huge power source that is stored in excellent running condition. Presumably just a good service is enough to fully enjoy this car.

A perfect basis to enjoy enormously, partly due to the fact that Mustangs in concours condition have already risen sharply in price and have a pleasant purchase price. Once driving this Mustang, the dots on the proverbial 'i' can be put step by step to make the Muscle car completely to taste.
The car comes with, among other things, the Marti Report, a thick stack of invoices and some nice documentation.
