Description

Belgian title

Chassis No A1101600VD20418
Engine No 7700597056

- Very rare and sought-after SC/VD version
- High quality restoration
- Less than 500 examples produced

The 1600 SC was released in 1973 with the A310 rear axle and including an overlapping double wishbone and two shock absorbers as opposed to four. The rims are consequently fixed by four bolts and door handles replaced by simple push buttons. Its driving behaviour therefore gains in stability and straightness. Also, a rear panel removable from the interior enables access to the engine bay. The Renault 12 Gordini engine of 1,605 cc developing 127 hp DIN, paired to a 5-speed gearbox, propels the Berlinetta to 215 km/h flat. Only 481 units were produced between 1973 and 1975; the production of this mythical automobile ceased with the SX in 1977.

Known as a sought-after 1600 SC/VD version, this particular car was sold new in France and then made its way to Belgium where it knew two successive owners. This car is presented in a completely restored condition, which was done as it should be. The work carried out is incredible but we do not have information about the workshop who was responsible for it. The Alpine brand is more alive today that it has ever been and after sitting behind the wheel of this berlinetta, we understand very quickly why the A110 deserves such an unique reputation.
