Description

  • Tom Killeen was more famous for his exploits with monocoque cars than he was bikes
  • The machine was designed by Tom with centre steering, a monocoque frame and powered by a Velocette LE engine and gearbox
  • Built in the late 60s/early 70s and registered as a Killeen Mk1
  • Reviewed very positively in Motorcycling magazine in period with quotes such as "Honestly, I've never before come across a motorcycle which can give its rider such enormous confidence"
  • Was owned by The National Motorcycle Museum at some point before being sold on
  • Forming part of a private collection and unused for some time means some recommissioning will be required before road use
  • A great example of eccentric British design
