Description
- Peter Collins was the 1976 World Champion and rode for the Belle Vue Aces all his career
- He won another nine World Championships with team and pair events
- This 1973 Jawa was a bike he rode in period before using the Weslake four-valve to great success
- The bike was also raced by his younger brother Les at the start of his career
- Les restored the bike in the early 1990s and it was the top prize in a raffle at his testimonial in 1995 in Edinburgh
- Peter bought the bike back off the raffle winners in 2013 and restored it to its current condition
- A great piece of British Speedway history and an important part of the Collins family speedway history
- Complete with some period photos and a letter of authenticity from Peter Collins
- Not run for some time so will require some recommissioning before use
