Description

Chassis No. 1G1YY6784G5905969

Chevrolet ceased production of the convertible Corvette in 1975 due to low sales volume, but due to popular demand, it returned in 1986 with the updated C4 chassis. With less than a quarter of all Corvettes produced in 1986 being convertibles, this Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Edition is rarer still. As with all Pace Car Editions Corvettes that year, the decals were supplied with the car in the trunk. Chevrolet left it up to the owner to decide if they would go 'full Pace Car.' The original owner decided to keep this Pace Car unadorned, and they accompany the car, still uninstalled, in the trunk. Showing just under 81,000 miles at cataloging, this Corvette benefits from a recent detail and service. Whether or not the next owner decides to install the decals, they will be in for a wonderful wind-in-your-hair driving experience on the way to a RADwood in 2023.
