Description

Myth of the German car
Good condition
Collector's title

With 21 million produced between 1938 and 2003, the Beetle is a household name, popular with the hippie community and the youth of the Western world. This car, which embodies an entire part of the history of the automobile, was a symbol of freedom. It was both robust and affordable. A people's car, a world car, a record-breaking car, the Beetle was simple in design and use. In Germany and the United States, it found a public keen on customs that modified these small ordinary cars to make them real performance monsters that still today bring back the passion for a car that had distinguished itself in the rallies of the early 1950s.
The car presented here left the German factory in 1964. Its light blue paintwork in good condition and its white sidewall tyres will make some people nostalgic for a time when everything was allowed. The car has been restored and is now in good condition. The chrome is sparkling. The fabric upholstery has no holes or tears. Only traces of wear due to normal use of the vehicle appear on the door panels. At the rear, the roof liner has a few small holes and stains but can easily be repaired or changed. The owner wanted to keep as many original elements as possible. The car is registered as a collector's car and comes with period service books. Its 1200cc engine is working well.
