HISTORY

The vehicle was supplied new in 1968 by the French Importer of Mercedes-Benz to American Specification. The car was then exported to the USA. The vehicle was imported into Holland in 2000. It was owned there by Mr. Van Eerd who is a well-known collector of Classic Cars. The car was then sold by Arendshoeve Auto's in Holland to John Verhagen in July 2013. Mr. N. Bennie purchased the car from Mr. Verhagen in January 2015 and imported it into the UK in April 2015. Since January 2020 it has been enjoying the warm mediterranean weather in Mallorca, Spain.

We understand that the car was fully restored in Holland during Mr. Van Eerd's ownership. Unfortunately the restoration paperwork has gone missing but it is plainly obvious that the car was restored to a very high standard. The mileage showing of 108000 clearly means the car has done 108,000 miles, which is believed genuine. The car is a matching numbers car confirmed by the original Data Card. The car has a full set of original Handbooks and spare keys.

Being the rare California model it has the rears seats and manufacturer air conditioning. The last picture is a copy of the Valuation cerificate needed for the import to Spain.

The engine is in excellent condition and runs perfectly. The paintwork too is excellent.

Obviously it comes with all the Spanish registration documents and the ITV (Spanish MOT). There is a whole folder full of previous bills, MOT's, Old UK reg documents, hand books, etc.
