Description

A set of five Royal Doulton 'Series Ware' motoring themed plates by George Holdcroft, circa 1906, each hand-coloured under glaze and decorated with an early humorous Veteran motoring scene and comprising: 'A Nerve Tonic', 'Room For One!', 'Blood Money', 'Deaf', and another untitled scene, four with maker's transfer, impressed marks and hand-painted number 'D2406' to underside, one with crazing to underglaze, each 25cm diameter.
