Description

"The W201 was a revolutionary model for Mercedes-Benz featuring, as it did, a patented rear five-link suspension subsequently used in E and C class models, front and rear anti-roll bars, anti-dive and anti-squat geometry as well as available airbags, ABS brakes and seatbelt pre-tensioners. Mercedes-Benz spent over £600 million researching and developing the 190 and was subsequently quoted as describing it as 'massively over-engineered’. Fortunately, with approximately 1.8 million examples manufactured, it proved to be the huge commercial success it deserved to be.
This low mileage example was registered in March 1991 and presents extremely well in red with a beige interior. The interior shows very little sign of wear with the rear seats looking unused. The mileage appears to be correct and is confirmed by the cars comprehensive service history which shows 17 stamps in the original service book. We are informed that this time warp condition, automatic Mercedes-Benz is a joy to drive. Supplied with a V5C registration document and current MoT test certificate valid until November 2021, together with the original hand books and service record, this car is offered for sale without reserve."
