Description
- A ‘Restoration Opportunity’ available from Aston Martin Works.
- Converted from a Standard Automatic to a Vantage specification Manual.
- 1 of 245 DB6 Mk2 examples in the world.
This DB6Mk2 Vantage is a rare example being one of only 245 in the world that is the perfect opportunity to be lovingly restored by its next custodian. Currently finished in Aegean Blue with a Tan Leather interior this opportunity gives a future custodian an opportunity to create the DB6 of their own choice.
The DB6 MK2 was announced in August 1969 and could be identified by the models flared front and rear wheel arches, revised Front Seat design and a host of other small changes. The Vantage upgrade that this model received during its lifetime can be defined visually by the Triple Webber Carburettors.
This DB6 MK2 was originally fitted with a Borg-Warner 3-Speed Automatic Transmission from factory, however the 4.0L Straight 6 is currently mated to a 5-Speed ZF Manual, a conversion made by a previous custodian at some point in the car’s history.
This example is a fantastic restoration opportunity for a future owner to bring back to its former glory and acquire a rare Aston Martin for a favourable price.
