<p>Dr. Richard Riddell was a fixture in the greater US Bugatti society for over 50 years. He attended countless Bugatti Club tours and events, and also served as a class judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® for over 35 years. Dr. Riddell was a great friend to Gooding &amp; Company prior to his passing in 2020, and his wife Bobbie is pleased that his model collection, assembled over numerous decades, will now move on to appreciative new homes. Over his lifetime, Dr. Riddell had numerous Bugattis in his collection, including Types 13, 35, 40, and 57.</p>
<p>The Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic is a 1:8 scale model of particular quality and detail by Antonietti-Bossac, c.1985, France. Crafted from steel, aluminum, leather, and wood, and comprised of hundreds of parts. Engine turned components are particularly impressive, as are the functioning door latches. Maker’s plate reads: “Marc Antonietti No – 88.” Clear plastic windshield panels will require refitting. Mirror panel in wooden base with 3/16&quot; plate glass case. 23&quot; long. </p>
