This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1 is red, very 60’s red that is. 1963 saw the end of the live rear axle on the Corvette C1. With sales of 14,351 cars 1962 was the most successful year for the Corvette C1. Today it has become a rare and very sought after model. It is an older restored car that has withstood the ravages of time well. The restored bodywork is very neat. The fine bodywork is correctly aligned. The re-sprayed “Rally Red” paintwork is in very good condition. The hood is as good as new and shuts perfectly. Underneath the condition is as sound as a rock. The interior has been re-upholstered in the past. The carpets as pristine and the condition of the red leather seating is excellent and has acquired a lovely patina. The Corvette is in tip-top order mechanically. The drive emphasises to good effect the fairly recent engine and gearbox overhaul. The engine is very healthy and runs fantastically.
