Description

In 1926 Giuseppe Benelli designed a new motorbike with a 175 cc four-stroke engine, with overhead camshaft driven by an original “four-gear cascade” and impressive performance which led to numerous triumphs in the 1927, 1928, 1930 and 1931 Italian Championship. This version, the Extra Lusso, was first produced in 1929 and featured a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with plated head and cast iron cylinder. The engine displacement was 172 cc.
