Description

This pretty cutter seems to be a restoration from another era, but she is actually brand new designed by the well-known naval architect Van de Stadt and the present owner. Inspired by the story of the Bristol Channel pilot cutters and designs by W.Atkins and J.Alden from the 1930’s, the optical impression above the waterline shows a classic gaff cutter, but the design of the hull under water is quite modern and owns a shoal keel with lead ballast and stern-hung rudder which provides the yacht with pace, grace and function. The Albatros reflects the owner’s keenness for simplicity, ease of handling and trouble-free maintenance. Built with epoxy-wood-core for more internal space and more strength-to-weight ratio and further details show the devotion of the owner to create a well performing classic. Albatros is now for sale in perfect condition and can be inspected on short notice.
