The Model: When the 1932 Ford’s hit the road, America was in the grip of its worst economic depression ever. Not many could afford a new car in 1932, but there was something about the styling and dependability of a Ford that drew customers to the show room, oh yes, and the new V8 engine didn’t hurt one bit. It didn’t take long for young gearheads to realize how special the ’32 Fords were, and these cars soon became the testbeds for performance ideas as well as styling, and the world of Hot Rods was soon open to the whole nation. After WWII, those original ‘32’s started to disappear rapidly. As early as the 1980’s, kits and replicas were soon being marketed, with today seeing a number of top quality suppliers feeding the desire to own one of those early rods.
The Car: Take a look at this beauty and you will want to slip behind the wheel and join the fun. Featuring a profession build, if features a solid fiberglass body, finished in Raven Black and showing the panels to be smooth and concise. The custom chassis is fitted with a Chevrolet small-block V8 that is fitted with four-barrel intake and porting the exhaust through aluminum headers. Cooling is conducted through a custom built aluminum radiator while a trusty 700R4 Automatic/Overdrive transmission insuring smooth shifting. Disc brakes are employed on all four corners with custom alloy wheels and the special bullet-style headlights, complete with turn-signal mounted to the top. The seats are plain and simple with a full set of Omega Kustom Industry’s gauges gracing the dashboard. A handsome ride that has plenty of life, it's ready for an evening cruise or little overnight journey.
