Chassis 820065 was manufactured on the 19th of December 1959 and dispatched from the factory on the 30th of December, where it was registered new to its first owner, the Marchioness of Bute, via Henlys Limited, London. Specified in Cream over a Red leather interior with a Black soft-top, as confirmed by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate. In August 1972, the car was partially restored, fitted with a 3.8-litre engine, and was acquired by a new owner, who retained it for the next 39 years, until it was acquired by its current owner in March 2011.
In 2012 the car was subject to a full concours level, rotisserie restoration by Jaguar specialists M&C Wilkinson which was completed in 2013. It has been maintained and serviced by a Jaguar specialist and electric power steering has been installed. The pre-sales inspection has been carried out, and the car will be professionally prepared for its new owner, which includes a major service.
Complete with its owner’s manual, history file, restoration file, tonneau cover and spare wheel.
