Brabus iBusiness 2.0 – Work or Play?

Brabus, the German tuning company, has used the Apple iPad 2 to develop a multimedia system which can be integrated into the rear cabin of any current Mercedes S-Class model from the S 350 to the S 65.

The built-in iPad2 can then control on-board entertainment and the high-speed Internet connection, plus it allows rear seat passengers to control the S-Class COMAND system, with its radio, navigation and telephone functions. For the business user, the iPad – connected wirelessly to a Mini Mac in the boot – is ideally suited to video conferencing on the move, thanks to its integrated camera. And two iPads can be fitted if desired, thanks to a modified Brabus table which fits against the backrest of each front seat, to hold both the iPad and a Bluetooth keyboard.

By opting for the 12-cylinder S 600 or S 65 upgraded with the Brabus 800 V12 Biturbo engine, you can have yourself “the world’s fastest office on wheels”. Tuned to give 788bhp and 1047lb ft of torque, your driver can accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds – and on to 219mph – while you are sitting in the back seat in a video conference with your colleagues.

Styling-wise, the ‘iBusiness 2.0’ Mercedes wears a Brabus ‘designer suit’, developed in the wind tunnel, with Brabus brakes, suspension and Monoblock alloy wheels.
