Cambio 60s Keyfob (£104) - sterling silver and black rhodium metal |
Naturally enough, most pieces are themed, with inspiration for their design coming from the many examples of ‘rolling sculpture’ which have gone through Mark Lyon’s world-famous GTO Engineering workshops.
The range, ‘GTO London’, is the brainchild of Victoria Lyon, Mark’s daughter, and is split into a collection of (gold, sterling silver or ‘RFM’, that’s Real Ferrari Metal) cufflinks, tie-pins, keyrings and a money clip; and new-for-2011 leather wallets.
One of the cufflinks takes its design from the traditional R6 pattern Dunlop racing tyre. Another – my favourite – is in the form of a single carburettor trumpet, complete with ‘mesh’ cover. These are available in both sterling silver (£290) and bronze-looking RFM (£667).

There’s also a sterling silver, ‘drilled’ money clip (or Denaro Fermaglio) for £295.
Bespoke work can be accommodated, too. A recent addition to the range was a one-off, blue wallet in frog skin (some frog!), as well as special Volante cufflinks with a lapis lazuli centre and diamonds replacing the traditional rivets on the wheel’s rim.
