Contemporary Homage to the Legendary 911 R Type 901/21 in Super Lightweight Configuration — Obsessively Handcrafted in Italy and Preserved with Delivery Miles

“There are few automobiles in Porsche history as uncompromising in philosophy—or as influential in retrospect—as the 1967 911 R. Created around the elemental principle that performance could be achieved as effectively through the removal of weight as through the addition of horsepower, the R stripped the still-young 911 to its essential components and combined an exceptionally lightweight body with competition-derived mechanicals. The result was not merely a faster 911, but a remarkably pure expression of Porsche engineering whose philosophy of lightness, simplicity and mechanical immediacy would resonate through generations of Rennsport automobiles to follow.
