This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible is powered by its matching-numbers type L68 427 cubic-inch V-8, rated when new at 400 PS and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Featuring the highly desirable “tri-power” triple two-barrel carburettor setup, the L68 delivers the unmistakable sound and substantial torque of Chevrolet’s legendary big-block while offering a more user-friendly ownership experience than the race-tuned L71 and L89 variants. Its hydraulic lifters contribute to simpler maintenance and a reputation for greater dependability, making the 427/400 an ideal choice for enthusiasts who value performance without sacrificing practicality.
Originally finished in Marlboro Maroon, this example has been restored in Rally Red over a black vinyl interior. Desirable features include a side-exit exhaust, headrests, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Stinger bonnet with a black stripe, air conditioning, power windows, and bolt-on Turbine wheels fitted with redline tyres. This is a well-presented example of the iconic big-block Corvette, importantly featuring its matching-numbers V-8.
