Ferrari Dino 246 GT :

Few road cars of the 1970s have achieved the enduring admiration reserved for the Ferrari Dino 246 GT. Conceived as a more compact and agile expression of Ferrari’s sporting philosophy, the Dino combined exquisite Pininfarina design with a sonorous mid-mounted V6 engine and beautifully balanced handling. Today, the 246 GT is rightly regarded as one of the most elegant and rewarding driver’s cars of its era, prized equally for its usability, delicacy and unmistakable aesthetic purity.
The example offered here is an exceptionally rare and beautifully restored European-delivery car, finished in the highly desirable and seldom-seen Azzurro Metallizzato 106-A-32 by Salchi, one of only 116 examples produced in this colour. Supplied new in Switzerland in 1971 to its original owner, the car remained in single-family ownership for decades and was ultimately discovered in 2009 as part of the original owner’s estate in southern Switzerland.
Although the Dino had been off the road and stored for over 30 years, it had fortunately been kept in a dry enclosed garage throughout its dormancy. As a result, when rediscovered the car remained remarkably complete and structurally sound, with only superficial corrosion and no penetrating rust to the body, chassis or frame — an increasingly rare foundation for any Dino restoration.
Beginning in 2012, the car underwent a meticulous, no-expense-spared restoration carried out with an uncompromising focus on originality. Wherever possible, only genuine Ferrari components were used throughout the process. Great care was taken to preserve the car’s factory-correct specification, including sourcing the original Azzurro Metallizzato paint directly from Ferrari archives. The interior was retrimmed in correct Beige 430 leather, sourced from Ferrari’s long-standing leather supplier of more than four decades.
In 2015, the completed restoration was inspected and Ferrari Classiche Certified by Niki Hasler AG, further confirming the authenticity and correctness of the car in all major respects. Optional equipment includes the desirable factory electric windows.

Today, this Dino presents as an exceptionally elegant and highly collectible example of Ferrari’s iconic mid-engined berlinetta — combining rare original specification, known Swiss provenance, Classiche certification and one of the most attractive period colour combinations offered on the model.
